What were the most popular photo booth setups for 2021? Let’s fund out!
1 - The Prompts
We sent a survey to hundreds of photo booth companies, and a few dozen even responded! These were the questions we asked them:
What is your most popular booth choice?
What is your most popular backdrop?
What are you most popular props?
We kept is plain and simple to encourage responses. Let’s get into the answers!
2 - The Most Popular Photo Booths
Unanimously, the most popular booths were the “open-air style” booths. This is no surprise, as it’s the same for us at Wicked Photo Booths. The open air booths are so popular for many reasons, some of which are captured in our previous blog post here. Essentially, open air booths get the whole crowd involved in the fun. People love looking around and seeing others having fun and being silly.
3 - The Most Popular Photo Booth Backdrops
These answers surprised us a little! For us at Wicked Photo Booths, the Glam Booth is by far our most popular selection, with the Hedge Wall as a close second. The three most popular responses were:
Sequin
Solid White (“Glam”)
Charcoal
While Sequin and Glam are common backdrops, charcoal is an unexpected finalist. While we do offer it, we tend to not advertise it because the photos don’t always have great contrast with dark backgrounds.
4 - The Most Popular Photo Booth Props
Only TWO categories of responses made it into the form. The most iconic duo of props:
Quirky Signs
Ridiculous Wearables (Hats, Glasses, Boas)
One response stood out as a silly offering we may also start to incorporate - rubber animal masks! You learn a thing or two when you reach out to a couple hundred people I guess…
Conclusion
We can’t wait to continue this survey trend for next year. Our personal guess is that the 360 booth will start to take off! It’s great for tik-tok which everyone seems to be obsessed with these days!
